Don't stress! It will be ok. It hardly looks bad at all. Keep us posted with pics once it hatches

I didn’t post at the moment but here are the update pictures! I know it’s stupid late but here they are!

Yes, I stopped when I saw the blood. They are doing great right now! We just took them outside for the first time! :love

If you're not feeding medicated starter, I would recommend having Corid on hand (like ... now, today) for coccidiosis. Too many times when they make the transition from brooder to outside at this age, their bodies aren't ready for the inevitable creepy crawlies that live in the dirt and grass and cause coccidiosis, which can take them down really fast- it is everywhere, and of course increases when there are chickens about. If they've been on medicated starter, they've been getting low doses of Corid and should be OK - but really either way if you don't have Corid available - I would swing by a feed store and pick some up soonest - and keep a very close eye on them for signs of distress. It seems to pop up within a couple days of their feet first hitting the ground if they've been raised inside.

Super adorable!!!

Thanks! 😁 I do have them on medicated feed! I’ve wanted Corid but when I went to my feed store they had run out I’m waiting to go again when they are not busy. Hopefully I can get some soon!:fl

With any luck the medicated feed will have done its job in preparing the chicks' immune systems and you won't have any problems! I think they've got it on Amazon.com too.
