Okay so I got home from my nieces birthday party and one of the chicks had been born with the yolk hanging out of her bottom. I was in the process of trying to take the other chicks out and one of the other chicks jumped on her and she moved forward and pulled more sack out of her body. Is there anything I can do for her. I have never had this happen before so I am at a loss. The sac is oozing a bit of brownish fluid but other than that the vessels are intact and appear to be drying out. Any thoughts.

I did remove her from the incubator and she is wrapped in a damp cloth with a dry one around that to keep her still.

Would appreciate any thoughts from those who may have dealt with this before.

Thanks in advance

Poor chickie!

I don't think this one would make it. I had one with just a little bit of yolk exposed and we put it down pretty soon after hatching.

I hope you have better luck.

Oh my goodness, that does not look good... Keep her on a clean, as in sterile, damp cloth in the incubator with the humidity high (over 60%) and

They do sometimes survive this, but this is the worse case I've seen so far. Good luck and fingers crossed!
