This is a chick brooder I made from a wooden wire spool. Pretty cool I think.

I understand your frustration with getting pictures uploaded.
this is what I use as a brooder, bottom half of a "critter keeper" with a clip on desk lamp with a red bulb.
My Serema x Silky roo and Golden Comet hen gave me 4 silver grey chicks, 1 pure RIR 1 pure Australorpe. Have half dozen more eggs I don't expect to hatch but left in bator just in case.

now lets see if the code transcribes itself into pictures.
