Chick can’t close eye

(forgive me if you dont need this pep talk, but I'd rather tell someone who doesnt need to hear it than not tell someone who does)
I dont know your personal opinions on the matter, but.. if it is going to be lifelong, it is okay for you to decide to cull the bird. that level of supportive care (cleaning eye multiple times a day) is more than anyone expects of you & no one would fault you for putting the bird down.
I am a staunch believer in doing all you can, but I agree with this wholeheartedly. This is very well stated. :hugs

Have you looked into antibiotic eye drops? I don't know that they're the answer but might be worth a try

Im only seeing eye drops for conjunctivitis, but I’m not sure what I would classify this as. An injury or just eye infection?

The chick is doing much better now. It can almost completely close its eye, and less debris is getting in it. It’s poops are also almost back to normal.

It’s been awhile, probably my last update on here. It’s eye has been clear and I haven’t had to clean it since. Has some little chunks in feathers that won’t come out, but it’s getting new feathers so hopefully they just molt out.
