I don’t think so. I’ve seen that in turkeys and it does look the same.... that’s kinda why I am at a lossIt's hard to tell in the photos, does the chick have splay/spraddle leg?
https://the-chicken-chick.com/spraddle-leg-in-baby-chicks-what-is-it/
The leg that sits to the side, is the joint swollen or does it seem the whole leg is rotated out?Seems one leg sits under and the other sits to the side.
You take the pill vitamins, wrap one in a paper towel and wack it with a hammer. Once it's basically dust mix it in with warm water and let the chick drink it.I did the bandaid thing this morning. I was actually shocked to find her alive and alert. She’s a chunky chick so her leg looks thicker than I would think is normal but not sure if it’s cause she’s thick or it’s pertaining to this. When I put her on her back everything looks normal. She was like this when I took her out of the incubator. I did give her water. Now I’m wondering how to give her the vitamins. More details is better for me. Will update on the bandaid trick later today
d12, vitamin c and even electrolytes. We did not try d2 but really if they are checking out you might as well try everything.
I'm assuming you mean B12 and B2?I keep seeing d2 mentioned so that'd be a good place to start.
How many days old is this chick now? It would be good to get her drinking and eating. She’s a chunky chick so her leg looks thicker than I would think is normal but not sure if it’s cause she’s thick or it’s pertaining to this.
