I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to help one of my chicks. We purchased it within the last month along with 12 other chicks. All of them looked healthy and didn't have any issues. Last week I noticed it was dragging its leg but could still get around. We brought it inside and put it in a cage to watch it. It eats and drinks like it's supposed to. It looks like the leg might be dislocated from the hip. It can roost fine when we hold it because it likes to run around and try and use that leg to help hold it up on one of our fingers. It looks like the chick has not control of the leg. We have tried putting it back in place but it didn't work. If anyone has any suggestions we are open to them.

she could have an early sign of spraddle leg. My chick had it, it started with her toes going crooked then it spread to her legs and she it looked like she was doing the splits. It's a common deformity and if you don't care of it early it can turn permanent and potentially kill her. You might want to research and find out if that's what it really is. You need to work fast if that is what you think it is.
