I have a chick that hatched yesterday. It still had a little yolk around it's navel and it was quite large for the size of the egg.
Anyway, it can't stand. It's not spradle legs. It is like it is folded in half. It keeps it's legs out in front and is sitting on its rump.
I tried putting it in a teacup as suggested in another post, but it is too strong and keeps tipping itself out.
If I hold it's feet in place, it can stand in the right position, but not for long.
Should I cull? Any suggestions? Navel looks fine this morning.
