chick hatched and day two still isnt standing cant anyone help its legs can move but the seem to be splayed wide

I just got a chick like that. Legs spread wide. It's called spraddle leg. What I did and most people do is cut a bandaid long ways. I put the gauze part in the back facing forward between her legs, then just fold the flaps over the legs and the gauze. The gauze part is the distance you want.

I have been offering food and water, and also trying to get mine to exercise. It may take a bit for her to figure out she can walk. But just keep picking her up to standing as many times as you can. I hope mine makes it. She sleeps alot. You need to make sure she's eating and drinking.

This is day 3, and my spraddle leg chick seems to be running around and actually is getting bossy. I am so glad she's finally eating and drinking on her own.

Sometimes it can take a week or more.
