Chick Can't Stay Up-Right!!!!

I have a CX meat chick that had a hard time walking on the beginning. He would have to flap his wings and get where he was going real quick then he would fall over. After about a week he started walking a lot better. Now at about a month old I can't even tell which one he was. The only thing that I can figure might have helped him is he is fed fermented feed. There may have been a vitamin deficiency or something.
