Chick can't zip out of shell.

Title. I am incubating 7 BBS Ameraucauna eggs and the eggs externally pipped 24 hours ago. They were progressing well on the hatch but once the 24 hour mark passed I began to worry.

The egg has been like this for roughly 12 hours and he just can't seem to get out. Other eggs have pipped internally but not externally.

At this point I think it's just a bad hatch which is exceptionally disappointing but I want to save the two that have come out. Any tips or advice?

You need to help him get out, it might already be too late. Take him out quickly and set him in a safe place with supplies ready. Keep the membrane moist with warm but not hot water and gently peel away the shell with some tweezers (or your fingers) if he’s still alive let him kick out of the shell by himself, unless he’s too weak. If you see blood STOP and put him back in the incubator.

He is chirping and wriggling vigorously but he can't break out. It's been about 27 hours at this point since I saw it break through ktse shell.

Ok start doing what Dr Evy said don't be nervous I was the first time I had to assist just have a wet worm paper towel around the egg and gently start peeling back the shell making sure the membrane is still attached as you're peeling make sure you're peeling at the end where the air sac is and go all around in a circle little by little piece by piece if you see a little bit of blood stop until it stops bleeding I would put it back in the incubator and make sure at that point the beak should be sticking out. The warm wet washcloth in your hand while holding the egg will help it not to dry out as you do this. If you succeeded I'm getting the shell around the air sac area off and all you see is the membrane and the chick and the chicks beak is out and clear place it back in the incubator and hopefully that should help it push itself out.

He's out now. He looks quite weak.... Hoping he will get better soon

Update: it died. Hopefully the other eggs hatch...

Only one other egg has externally pipped. It will likely not survive. Considering the he first ones fate, and the fact that this one has barely made any progress too, it's fate will likely be the same. All hope is lost.

Don’t give up yet! Just because you lost one doesn’t mean you’ll lose all others. I lost two chicks recently, and that was after they already hatched. I lost one two days after and another 4 weeks after. It was nothing I did, it just happened.
What was your temperature and humidity during incubation?
