Chick, Chick, Chickens!!!

Hello All,

My name is Kayla & I'm a stay at home mom to two handsome little boys. We live in Northwest Indiana on just a few acres of land.

Today I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my chicks. I was told they would be here today & I am very excited. I've been looking for a new 'project' and I though raising chickens (ducks & goats too!) would be a very rewarding endeavor. I also thought it would be something we could do as a family.

I'm looking forward to learning tons from everyone!!

Ooohhh...chick day! Nothing more egg-citing then chicks coming! I hope they arrive all safe and sound. Make sure to dip everybody's beaks in the water first thing when putting them in the brooder, before they start to eat. Getting hydrated will help prevent pasty butt.
