Chick color breed

They grew up to be really pretty chickens!
Two of them turned out to be males then black one and the brown one, others are females.
Three females and two males is a pretty nice split for 5 chicks! (Although not as nice as the four females/one male you thought they were.)

Was the one you thought was a boy (young chick) one of the ones that did turn out to be a male? Their appearance changed so much I can't tell which chick grew up into which adult.

Thank you!

Looks like that sexing method you found online was not very accurate. It got two of the females right, but it said "female" for both males and "male" for one of the actual females. So it was wrong more than half the time.

It's handy to have actual checks on whether such sexing methods are accurate. It's really easy for people to say it does or doesn't work, without actually trying it, so I'm very interested each time someone does try and then updates when the chicks have grown enough to be really obvious :thumbsup
