I hatched some Ameraucana chicks. Hens were all partridge colors while my roos were a light Ameraucana and a lavendar Ameraucana. Any idea which chicks belong to which roo? Also any idea what color they may grow into? Pics would be great if you have any!

With Easter Eggers bring fairly genetically unpredictable, we can't really be sure until fully grown and it still may not be 100% straightforward. If you shared photos of the parents we may be able to predict possible colors but there will likely be variations and surprises in the mix :)

I just realized I spelled it wrong they are Ameraucana. They are pure. I will fix my post.

There are eight recognized colors of Ameraucana according to the APA. Lavendar and Light are not two of them.

Black, Blue, Blue Wheaten, Brown Red, Buff, Silver, Wheaten and White.

It is possible wherever you got them is mislabeling them. That happens a lot. It may be a breeder developing their own specific colors. That also happens. Or maybe whoever you got them from don't know what they are doing. Where did you get them? A hatchery or a breeder?

If your chickens really are "pure" for their colors, the black chick is from the Lavendar and the others are from the other rooster. But if they are mixes then you just can't tell.

If you share photos we can help out more since that'll tell us what color they are genetically vs what the names are (like how the color called "dark" in brahmas is a combo of genes, not one gene called dark!)
