These work great. No extension cord required.
I was just trying to make the point that babies do not need to be raising inside. This broody took her batch out on day 2.
If you have a broody hen in your flock. Some of us don’t have the luxury to have a broody hen. Or a hen that would accept adopted chicks. lol
 
That's asking a lot.

How old are your chicks... and how big is your coop with the adults.
Dimensions and pics of coop would help immensely here.


Yes, IF one has a heat source, either electrical or chicks were hatched by a broody hen....that's a big IF!
They are different ages from 6 to 9 weeks old and there is 6 of them
