Chick crop is STILL swollen... do I need to do anything?

Hi I posted a couple days ago about my 5-week old chick having a swollen crop. It's like a bubble, soft and mushy but will not go away... I had separated the chick at first but it was chirping for it's buddies and seemed fine, pooping and drinking and drank the saucer of olive oil I gave it. So I put it back with the flock, added ACV to all the waterers, and kept a close eye on it. It is doing just fine and eating, drinking, pooing, and behaving perfectly normally, but it's crop is still a "bubble"! I am massaging it daily and can't feel anything hard, today the chick burped a teeny tiny bit but that's it. It's had nothing but ACV water and now some feed, also I put fresh clear water now in all but one waterer (it's fresh but still has some ACV added). If the chick seems fine, should I do anything else? Or just quit worrying about it?

i had 2 chicks with the same problem, swollen seemingly air filled crops (eating/drinking normally, a little lethargic but still running around the pen), i posted but unfortunatly had few replies to my thread, i tried the one suggestion which was force feeding it oil, which did nothing, the chick (well she was a few months old) died a few weeks after

she was extremely thin and just deteriorated from there. i tried reading up online and found nothing useful.

Oh my... I am so sorry about your chick!

I've noticed that this chick is a little smaller than the others, but I'm not sure. I guess I will pay very close attention as to whether it is losing weight.... I don't want to lose the little guy. On the other hand, he has drank olive oil but it dodn't seem to do anything.

Did your chick still poop normally? Was it acting okay with the other chickens?

Well, I made the chickie throw up, poor thing... held it upside down (face pointed at the ground) and worked it's crop, and it threw up quite a bit several times. So now I have a guest in the house... put some bedding in an extra dog crate, some ACV water, and put yogurt in there for the chick (actually Yoplait Parfait in berry... spoiled thing!). The crop is down quite a bit but still gassy, so I will see how it is doing tomorrow, and give som olive oil tomorrow as well. I hope this will help it, I don't want to lose any chicks if I can help it (at least not until they're ready to be dinner

).

Does anyone think this will work?

i did the same thing for mine (upside down crop massage), and was told that i could have forced the food/crap that came out into its lungs

so im not sure what to say, hopefully someone else will pipe up here!! come on experts!
