I made a post the other day about my flashlight falling on two of my eggs. Well I had patched them up and put them back in the bator. The one that was not too bad is doing well. The other however didn't make it and was definately dead. I decided to use it as a learning experiance and very carefully opened the egg. What I saw was kinda shocking. It seemed that it may have had a nural tube defect, or I may have a problem with my heating. It seemed like the skull had not closed like it was supposed to. There was a whiteish bubble looking thing on top of it's head. I swear it was the chicks brain. It also looked like it had some bleeding on the brain. It was at 8 days when the accident happened. does anyone know if it sounds like a defect, or if it sounds like my heating may be off causeing problems? I was thinking at 8 days you shouldn't be able to see the chicks brains by then. It was a turken so no crest. Any ideas? I really hope it's not my heating.
