Chick doing some hardcore panting and deep breaths

(this is a repost for this section, i want to get an answer asap)

I adjusted the light for the first-week-change (they're one week old as of a few hours from now), but one chick is panting her bottom off. If she's hot, she won't stop hanging out underneath the light, and she knows how to drink and I've even dipped her beak in a few times. I'm probably beating a dead horse by asking this question, but what else could be the problem?

Add heavy breathing to the equation, her head is just a'bobbin like McFerrin with all the deep breaths.

I'm a noob, but what is the temp in the brooder?

It was higher than I had thought for awhile, but it's been pushed back to about 94 (it was handing around 99-100). She's drinking and eating fine, but she's got breathing issues or something because each breath is heavy and when she pants her mouth is open wider than usual. Ugggh worryyyy.

Mine are in a brooder inside, it has a glass top on it (it's just what I had to keep the cats out - but it keeps the heat in too).
earlier this week it was pretty hot in here, and I realized it was over 90 when they were panting. I just turned the lights off, and took the top off, they cooled off pretty quickly. Do they have space to get away from the lamp?

Oh, plenty, but Under The Lamp must be the new hip place to hang out, because unless they're grabbing some grub or water, they hang out almost directly under the light. I've got a mesh top, so there's ventilation.

my next suggestion would be to turn the lamp off for a while and let it cool down, maybe put some ice cubes in the water so she cools from the inside out. Kinda like a people when he/she gets too hot.
