Chick dust bath?

A chunk of sod from your yard, with soil attached, is enough for them to dust bathe in! They’ll peck the soil off the roots, creating a perfect bath, and it provides endless entertainment value (for them & you!). I’ve also read it’s a good way to slowly introduce your soil’s organisms to them which allows them to develop tolerance to cocci & other pathogens.

I just use sharp sand with a sprinkling of DE. As someone else said I don’t know how effective DE actually is as far as mites are concerned but it’s never done my girls any harm and they love a good dust bath.

I've been putting chunks of grass from the yard in with them. And I let them run around the yard too. I just want them to be happy lol.
