I am planning on setting some eggs within the next few weeks and just wanting to make sure my eggs are suitable for hatching. I have a mixed flock if silkie, polish, sizzle, oegb, and duccles from age 7 months to 1 year so i dont know which eggs come from who. Do these eggs look like the normal size for these breeds or are they still on the small size? Are we a no or a go for hatching?

Pullet eggs can be iffy, many recommend not hatching them.
But it can work out OK, chicks might/will be smaller but usually catch up in time if otherwise healthy.
Have you checked yolks when making breakfast to make sure your males are getting the job done?

I was actually going to start checking on january first to make sure my hens and roos had plenty of time together to fertilize.
