Chick EMERGENCY!!!!!! PLEASE HELP

I will post a pic ASAP!! Their breathing is sometimes labored but at other times it seems ok. They are pretty lethargic, but again they act fine sometimes. Their poo is sort of a brownish-orange color and runnier than the poo of other chicks i have had. The ones that already died seemed to be very weak and unable to stand starting just a few hours before they passed. The lump seems to be pretty soft but I've avoided touching it because I was afraid of hurting the chicks.

I would add ACV right away.

Mix in the water Apple Cider Vinegar.

Only a water they get is mixed with the ACV.

Are they warm enough?

Make them hot. Make them move away from the heat.

Then you know for sure they are warm enough.

Also you can add "Rooster Booster", sugar, and electrolites.

Loosing 4 out of this number is huge.,

There is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Once,

I had 4 babies die in 2 days and cleaned out the brooder (with 25 babies still in it).
Newspaper, fresh medicated starter, and the water bottle had a thick layer of algea growing inside.
Red and green. I think the red algea took over.

It might have bloomed.

Poisoned the babies. With SPORES?

I scubbed it out with boiling water.

Gave them ACV, and we are good to go.

Change their envioment is the way to go.

That sounds like coccidiosis colored poop to me. If they're being fed crumbles, chick poop should look like this 95% of the time. Brownish, well formed with a white cap.

The best treatment for coccidiosis is Corid (amprolium), it's in the cattle section of feed stores.

Is this contagious?? These chicks are in the coop with my older chickens and ducks!!
