If you have the antibiotic ointment, then I would still use that, hopefully prevent infection and save the eye. It may have been pecked, or gotten injured on some wire or a feeder somehow.

I agree, I'd continue to treat the eye as suggested and hopefully that will close in time.

I have just normal polysporin for people. I just wasnt sure if it was safe for the eyes. I also have some Tobramycin left over from one of our cats needing eye drops.

The polysporin is probably fine if you cannot get Terramycin eye ointment. Tobramycin can be used if needed later.
