hi this is my first chick and my second one is being born they are three days apart but I was wondering is it normal for chicks to become louder and more active if a new member is coming she wont leave her side

Aww! She's so cute! Yes, once chicks hav hatched they naturally grow louder and a lot more active. And yes, they thrive on having contact with other chicks.

Yes, chicks communicate with each other in and out of the egg. I have had chicks hatch and into the brooder and they will call to the unhatched eggs pacing to get back to the incubator where the unhatched chick is peeping! They all know each other even before they hatch!
