I have a chick that was struggling hatching out as it was hatching out the wrong end of the egg. It had been over 18 hours since its beak had been sticking out and all other eggs including ones that where hatching out the wrong end where hatching do I decide to help by peeling back shell and membrane bit by bit just in case I hit blood vessels but it had absorbed them already so I was wondering why it wasn’t hatching and than I realised that the bottom and back side of the chick was really sticky so I got some warm water and a Q tip and wiped some Of the sticky stuff and realised that it must have broken the yolk as it was absorbing it and it has leaked into the egg and all over the chick and now it had dried and the chick is stuck, it’s breathing and chirping and moving as much as it can but I just need a bit of advice on how to get all that yolk off it. It has pushed itself out of the egg but their is still a bit of yolk absorbing into its body so I have wrapped it in paper towel. It also seems to have a bubble of air under its skin by its shoulder (see in pics) I’ll try get better pics of the bubble. Have tried wiping it with a warm wet cloth but the feathers dry hard again.

It's difficult to tell from the pics, but sometimes that sticky goop on the chick that dries solid can be from too much humidity during incubation. It makes fluffing up almost impossible.

With chicks like that, I've waited until they've regained strength after hatching and then give them a warm (not hot, just lukewarm) bath in a shallow container, taking care not to get any water into their nostrils - just bathing below the neck, basically, and not if they have an issue like an unhealed navel. Very gently rubbing with a wet cloth may be helpful to loosen the gunk, too, during the bath.

The "bubble" looks like an inflated air sac, part of the chick's respiratory system. I would leave it alone and see if it deflates. This thread may also be helpful.

Best wishes for your chick and your hatch!
