So I know that the general consensus is that ducklings should have non-medicated feed. I’ve been doing some research and it seems that the ingredients in medicated feed that were poisonous for ducklings are no longer used.

if possible, I’d like to feed everyone in my flock on the same feed....

looking for voices of experience to tell me if this feed is safe for ducklings?

I could mix it half and half with non-medicated feed while I’m brooding them indoors, but when they move out with the chickens at 4-6 weeks, would I be able to feed them this? They will be free ranging as well.

Do you have a feed store near you like Tractor Supply? If so, go there and pick up some Purina Flock Raiser, it can be fed to both chickens, ducks, geese, etc, and of all life stages. Non-medicated chicks starters often don't contain enough niacin for ducks.

thanks for your reply!! I’m actually in the UK, and in doing further research I don’t feel comfortable feeding this to ducklings because of the particular medication (lasalocid sodium).

I got in touch with our feed store and they’ve got an unmedicated one that’s safe for ducklings, so going to pick some up later today. the other starter crumbs can go in the feeder in the chicken coop because the ducks have their own coop. 👍

Could you ask them what the niacin ppm, mg/kg is?
