When is it safe to feed my chicks something other than chick feed?

Mine are between 6 and 9 weeks.

I would love to know the same thing. I believe you should keep them on starter feed until they are close to laying age, About 20 weeks. What I would like to know is when to stop the MEDICATED chick starter and move to the regular chick starter.

Sounds like it is time to change them over to a high Protein diet like Turkey Grow with 20+% Protein for all the growing that is about to take place in the next 12 to 16 weeks ....

And do not be afraid to toss in a hard boiled egg every once in a wile as their is a lot of protein vitamin B-3 and niacin in the egg .....

And table scrape also make them happy .....
