Chick Fight!

Hey Folks,
My big girls(1.5-2yrs) are picking on my little girls(3mo). The little girls sleep in a tractor, and the big girls sleep in the coop. Will this last long? I need to have them all in the coop at some point. Is there a way I can help them get along?

I would be afraid to let them all run together until the littles are as big as the bigs.

Uh, yeah. Right.

Anyhoo, there will still be a pecking order, but the deck is stacked when the younger ones are also smaller in size. The start of laying changes things somewhat, too.

I would wait until the younger girls were the same size as your older girls. They tend to handle it better if they are all about the same size. I learned that by trial and error myself. Wasn't much fun either.
