We just gave our 6 week old chicks fresh water and shortly after, my wife noticed one was tipping her head back and it looked like she was chewing. I grabbed her and checked her and she had foam in her throat and it started coming out her mouth. She kept her head back and continued her chewing motion and kept foaming. I held her head down and rubbed her chest and wiped the foam out her her mouth and throat. Could she have aspirated some water? And if so, how can I help her? If not, what could be wrong. She was acting perfectly fine until now....

Well, after intently wiping foam out of her mouth/throat, finally, out popped a big clump of food. Evidently, chickens can swallow stuff down the wrong pipe too! She immediately calmed down and was breathing much better. I waiting 15 minutes or so and put some water in front of her and she drank vigorously for about a minute. Then she proceeded to start gobbling down some food! I'm guessing she will be fine.
