Hello All, I've been reading information from here for months now and thought I'd officially join! Thank you for all of the incredible information. I have had chickens for a little while although I'm doing things a bit differently now - free ranging mega and increasing my stock. I am the proud new breeder of Buckeyes, possibly the best breed of chicken ever! (any bias in this forum? LOL) I also have many other varieties - 40 fowl in all, 8 Muscovy ducks, layers and just bought 8 meat birds, Cornish Rocks to devour. I increased my flock a few weeks back and made the horrible mistake of not isolating the newbies for 2 weeks - I paid a price, but didn't lose any - my favorite rooster, Harry T (Buckeye) was pitiful. I had no idea that chickens could get such runny snotty noses. I did learn a lot and am a much better 'care taker' of sick chickens. I may make a video later as I learned some valuable lessons to apply. Continuing, I have a German Shepherd who watches over the birds...most of the time, and 4 cats - one of whom is a chicken whisperer. I look forward to learning and interacting with you all! This is a nice design on the site too!
