Do you feed surplus SCOBY to your chickens?

Just curious:

Do you give surplus SCOBY to your chickens? Compost? Share with others that want to make kombucha? Toss it?

I currently have a few extra and now that we don’t have freezing daytime temperatures I will gradually give some chopped up to the flock. I guess I have supplied the kombucha makers around me with plenty of them - no takers currently

Our chickens love scoby more than anything on the whole earth. It's filled with great bacteria for them, but we only give it to them on occasion, bc I'm not sure a lot of black tea is great for them.

Yup! Chickens love it. In moderation though.

Earlier this week, I took some extra scoby, whizzed it in the blender with some water, and made the chickens' mash snack with it. They loved it!

I bottle/brew every two weeks. I haven't been giving them scoby that often; maybe once a month.
