This 12 day old chick was fine this morning, now he is choking/gasping/spasming with every breath. I don't know what to do.

Sorry about your sick chick. How is the air in the brooder? Young chicks can suffer respiratory infection from mold from spills, or they can get bedding stuck in their crops after eating it. Try to get the chick to drink some water. Make sure the air circulation is good, the bedding is clean and dry. Feel of it's crop to check if it may be full and hard. Has it been passing droppings okay, or has it had any pasty butt? Has it been eating and drinking and growing normally as the others?

Thanks for the help. I got it to drink a little but it was too far gone and passed less than a hour later. It's frustrating I'm trying so hard and this is the second one to die. I literally change the bedding and cleaned the waterers and feeders 2x a day. I have had some with poo stuck to their butts. The one that died was definitely smaller so maybe it was getting pushed around. I took the 4 smallest remaining ones out and placed then in their own brooder. That left 9, maybe it was just too many. The pen is pretty big though, like 3 feet by 2 feet. There are some that definitely aren't growing like the others though.
