Chick Grit okay for an Adult Chicken?

Hi! My chicken is a very small Breed, shes only about the size of a large coffee mug.
Shes 7, and when I usually feed her regular Grit, she didnt seem to eat much of it at all if any. So I switched her to Chick grit because its smaller and this seemed to do the trick. Just not sure if this will have an I'll effect on her? I mean it's just smaller pieces I'd assume of the same kind of granite.

Chickens don't need much of the proper size grit, it lasts a long time in the gizzard.
Grit that's too small may just pass through the gizzard, and have very little benefit, hence she will eat more.
The Poultry Grit I buy has all sizes Grit from larger Chick size on up.

I only have to add to my Grit container once, maybe twice a year.
The Oyster Shell container I add too about monthly.

I drilled 3/32" holes in pails to drain moisture. GC

Thanks for the info. Our little girl weighs less then 2 pounds and she is 7 years old. The normal grit was pretty much the size of her throat which is why I thought she wouldnt eat it.

Interesting, I mixed in some grit w my chicks food. Should they have another dedicated container, or mixing ok?

I mix in the Chick Grit into the Chick Starter at 2 weeks old till 10 weeks old.
I mix into feed at a ratio of 1 to 40 by weight.
2 ounces of Grit to 5 pounds of feed.
I use a kitchen scale.
I offer the Adult size Poultry Grit in a container after 7 weeks old. GC
