Chick Grit

What age should i start giving my chick grit? Also should i be giving them weeds from the yard and chunks of dirt for them to tear up?
What things should i be giving them?

My chicks are 4 or 5 days old.

Weeds and chunks of dirt would be good. Just make sure the weeds are not poisonous! I never give grit as my chicks are kept outside with their moms or in a chick pen. They have access to dirt and get enough rough stuff from that.
But if you want to give grit to make sure they get enough of what they need you can give them some rough sand. I heard builder's sand is good.
