Chick has blood sac.. will it die?

ok so i looked it up and yess sometimes it can be too humid for them to breathe so maybe you can just swish the air around the box to disperse some of the humidity? if you get what im saying, and then put a towel with the chick that is slightly damp.

when i say slightly damp i mean not much water in it at all. I dont know if chicks can get too humid but id be careful with the towel's dampness just in case.

I made a towel barely wet (like you can barely tell it is wet at all) and quick switched her into the new towel .. she is cheeping loudly and squirming in her box getting comfy .. she has stopped shaking and does not seem to be in any pain or discomfort. I think she is gonna make it!!

Awesome! I am so happy for you and your chick! she sounds a lot better than she did a few hours ago and i think she will soon be strong enough to go with the rest of the chicks.

Does she have any siblings left in their eggs in there?

Also, sounds like she's pretty much out of the woods. They will breathe hard when they're pulling that sac into their abdomen. What does her navel look like? Is it bloody? If it is, you can dab a little bit of iodine solution on it. How is she fluffing up? The main concerns here are infection, getting her walking, and the other chicks pecking her wound.

I am moving her with the rest soon -- Thank you SOO much!! :)

there are two chicks still hatching -- one almost out and the other not even pipped yet (little worried about this one but I am going to candle it to check and see how it's going. Her breathing is better, shaking stopped, cheeping louder and more often, and she is moving a bit more. Her navel has a bit of blood attached to it (leftovers from the sac I believe) -- she isn't fluffing as of right now because she was in a damp towel to help her out a bit, but her fluff is sticking out in some spots so i am assuming she is doing okay.

Alright, you need to keep it nice and humid in there for those two.

The little one that isn't pipped, how many days is he?

She's ok if she's alert. Might take her a little longer than the others to start walking. Give her paper towel over her substrate when she goes in the brooder to keep that navel nice and clean. Also, watch her and the others and make sure they don't peck at her.

You guys are doing good!

it is the 21st day so it is okay that it hasn't pipped yet. (I think lol)
