Chick Hasnt absorbed Yolk

We just had two chicks like this in school. We had various temperature problems. One did not make it through the night. The other one was lively for about three days and then just expired. It probably got an infection even though we used antibacteria cream and tried vitamins too. I kept them both seperate from other pecking chicks. I hope you have better results.

OzarkHen... I see you're in Mansfield! I've been by there many times. I've actually wanted to stop and visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum many times but have never done so. My husband has promised to take me some time this summer.

Wanda, I have never been to the Inalls house myself!

Dumb isn't it? I have all her books and reread them about every year. School here is named after her and she started a library here so it, too, is named after her. They have Wilder Days in the summer with outdoor plays of her life you would find very interesting.

can you post a pic for those of us that are clueless to what an unabsorbed yolk and a new chick looks like??? thanks
