Chick hatched normly. Fell asleep. Head stuck

Chick hstched in incubator. Was very healthy looming, moving around etc. Fell asleep with head in shell. Eoke eith shell stuck to head. Been like that for 3 hkurs
Humifith rsised. No change. On back struggling. How can I free head.

can´t you break the shell?You must help him otherwise he can die,I had the same problem last week the one I didn´t help died...

Broke as much off as we could but at risk of tearing now. It's awful as chick had been out. Im not sure how to remove remainder.

I haven't tried this, but have seen the experts on here recommend dabbing coconut oil on the dried membrane to soften it and prevent 'shrink wrap'.

Good new3. Successful removal of 'helmet', Chick finaly standing, drinking, eating, preening and socialising. Thanks for help.
