I've got eggs in the turner hatching on different days, I was told by someone that they could be turned all the way through hatch, and so far, nothing has happened to the eggs, I've got some that are/were quiters, but thats normal..I think I may unplug it on saturday for a while, because thats my last scheduled hatch, I've got more eggs in there, but no development yet, though they're only 6 days along.


anyway, i checked the little chick this morning, he is very much wanting out, he's only got a small but of yolk left that should be gone in a couple hours. I've been replacing the wet toilet paper over him, the goopy membrane stuff had dryed on his neck because he was moving around so much, I put new wet TP on him to hopefully losen it up.

I had this happen last week. I don't have a turner in there though. The chick bobbled around in there for a few hours and the little sac eventually got caught on the wire floor and dried up. She is fine now.

the chick died today

not sure why or how, my wife said he was fine at about 5pm, he wasn't as vocal, but still moving around alot..then when I got home from work at 7, he was dead
