Chick hatched this morning. Eyes not open.

This Blue laced Red Wyandotte hatched early this morning and her eyes are still not open. One side is partway but the other is completely shut. Any suggestions? I have some Vetropolycin eye ointment the vet gave me when a hen was pecked in the eye. Might that help or would it hurt?

I'd try warm compresses before applying any medicine.
