I had a chick hatch this morning and discovered that not all of the yolk/intestines had finished absorbing. I am trying to keep a wet paper towel underneath it, but it seems like it dries up pretty fast and I have to keep getting it wet. What should I do? Is there any hope? It seems like it's doing well, flopping around and cheeping every now and then...

Thanks for your help!

I can't see all that wasn't absorbed, but mine often hatch without all absorbed. Just leave him in there for awhile. He should be fine.

Does it dry up and fall off or should I keep getting it wet so that it will absorb?

I would let it dry up. If the intestines are not enclosed, he probably won't make it. I had one that the intestines were not on the inside. It lived for a day. I tried to clip the "dry" stuff off and it ended up dying. Good luck.
