Chick hatched with...a blister?

I have a bunch of random eggs hatching, and one chick is hatching (not quite there yet) and has a blister-type thing above it's wing. It's about the size of a dime, and has a yellow center with clear around the sides (like an egg!). Any ideas?

MissPrissy has consulted with me about that very same issue and she says there is a name for that condition, but couldn't remember what it was called. If that blister pops though, your chicks will drown. Is there anyway you can insert and needle and draw out some of the fluid? That is the only way to save the chick.

Thanks for the response. When I came home the chick was dead. I am still curious, though, as to what it was.

I will do some more research and see if I can't come up with an answer for you as to what it was. I've had two hatch that way myself.
