Chick hatched with one cloudy eye

Two days ago I had a chick hatch with a cloudy eye, it looks like a cataract....? Sorry I'm not able to get a picture of the eye. I'm not sure the chick can see in that eye either. He/she is only in with 3 other chicks and they don't treat her any differently. Any one ever have this happen to them? Any clues as to what it could be? Time will tell if she is blind on that side as she is so small and not overly active yet.

Usually if a chick hatches with a problem, it may just be a birth defect and can't be helped. It may be that she's just blind in that eye. Keep observing her, see if you can tell how good her vision is. Good news is, chickens who are blind in just one eye can usually function just fine, especially if they're hatched that way.
