Chick hatched with sticky rubber stuff all over..HELP!

How do I get all this thick dried sticky stuff off my newly hatched chicks? I don't know if I can wash then or if they would get to cold and sick.

They hatched yesterday afternoon...on of then looks like it has WAY to much hairspray on...it was thick!

it's probably the membrane on them from the egg. Or either the yolk on the chicks. It'll go away

I had to help a chick out last night, which I think would classify as a sticky chick. I put him back in bator to recover. He is doing well but has membrane and shell bits glued to his back. It's ok to leave on?
