Has anyone ever had a chick hatch without absorbing the yolk and survive? I had one hatch today, it is still kicking, but it is still dragging the yolk sac around. Is there anything that I can or should do? Any helpful ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well my gut tells me to tell you take another egg and feed the yolk from that one to the chick with an eye droper

I have had that happen and both times, the chick died. I don't know what to suggest. Hopefully someone else will....

Just out of curiosity, did the chick hatch out on it's own, or did it have help with the shell removal?

Good luck!

The chick hatched out by itself. Update: I decided to just leave it in the hatcher and see what happened. Today it was up and toddling around, and had absorbed the yolk, so I just cut the sac off close to the body. It seems to be doing well. Yay!
