These chicks are just shy of four weeks old. There was one with scissor beak in the group. There were no obvious signs of bullying. I couldn’t find her this morning and after digging through, I found her behind a painting dead on her back. She was still pretty rigored so it’d been a bit. It was just strange that she hid instead of trying to get warm. And it seems odd that she died on her back. Did she have some other issues other than scissor beak? Was she getting bullied and that’s why she didn’t go back to the brooder? Was this some kind of disease? I couldn’t clean the brooder because I had to go to school but I’m going to clean it ASAP. She’s the only one who’s had issues with anything and was definitely the runt. Also, she had food crusted on her beak. Is it possible she couldn’t breathe and slowly suffocated? None of the others have this and I didn’t notice it on her yesterday.
