So I have 22 baby chicks. Only one died as baby chicks. There getting bigger and jumping. So I have problems. chicks have pen they sleep in and in day time I put play pen out so they can go in and out of there chicken house into play pen and sun bath or just sit. Well play pen is open on top and they like jump out , well many times they almost got hurt by older chickens and other time almost got hurt by goose. I do have chicken wire but I can’t unravel it. So I tried put all of them in area were older chicken stay today well I didn’t notice there is a part were they can escape so they all escape so I had to put them back in house. Also I do check on them but like almost every hour there one or few that escape from play pen. Also I can’t unravel chicken wire because I can’t figure it out and is been little stubborn. What should I’d do? Also here is some pictures of my beauty chicks there getting big. There little brat chicks but I love them so much.

Most chicken wire has a piece of wire wrapped around the roll to keep it wrapped tight.Sometimes it'll have a little rust on it and is easy to spot but it all has it on there.I have seen some that are difficult to find. You won't be able to unroll it until you find that thin piece of wire.It usually runs at an angle. Those chicks need more room .Any feed store can find the wire for you but you'll have to drive it down there(or wherever you bought it)
