Hatched a batch of chicks April 7th. I have 1 chick that is half the size of the others so I watched her today and found out why... she just stands in place under the heat lamp. Will not move. Dipped her beak in water, she just shook her head and then dipped her beak in the food. She seemed to eat what was on her beak... then just stood there again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

I had a chick do that for 3 days last spring, then all of sudden she was eating drinking and running around. The yolk in their belly can keep them nourished for a few days.
Give her time.

I have taken some of the crumbles and mixed either a bit of Save-A-Chick mixed in water or some Poly-Vi-Sol WITHOUT IRON in a little water and moisten the crumbles and taken a pair of tweezers and fed the chick and after it took all it wanted put it back and later fed the chick again and it eventually thrived. It just needed a little TLC. Good luck and have fun...
