Chick just started growing crest at 3 weeks!! Dont know why!!

We have a 3-week old chick that just started growing their crest. We got it from a feed and seed store and when we bought her or him they told us the chick was either a Black Sex Link or a Crested of some sort. The other crested chicks we have seen don't look like her or him and the chick has started growing a crest so we know the chick is not a black sex link. We think she's some kind of hybrid but we believe that the person who sold her or him to us would have mentioned that. Need some help, any ideas ???? We have been looking for 2 weeks to find what she is, we are so confused with this chick!!!!????

From TSC maybe? They've been carrying something called a "southern rambler" that seems to be a silkie hybrid.

I'll look up that chicken breed but, I got him or her from a Mannings feed and seed store.
