Chick likes humans better then warmth

We.bought a chick from the pet shop but it does.not.like heat. However.it likes humans more than anything else. Why is it like this?

Because it is lonely and wants company - it is imprinted on humans. Try getting it some company. Chickens are flock creatures.

You need to get more chicks it isn’t good for it to be alone. It’s probably scared and lonely and has imprinted on you like sourland said. Get more today if you can.

I've had ones like that. If it is a lone chick, then a couple of playmates would help. If not, it will get used to the situation in time.

If you only bought one it's probably because they are used to having a clutch to live in so it is seeking out the next best companion humans. What type of chicken is it?
