Just wait until she starts kicking and flopping around in the little hole - you'll think it's convulsions! LOL. Perfectly normal. To keep the food and water clean, lay something flat in the brooder to make a low platform, about 1-inch. Like a piece of board or plywood, scrap of a doormat, even a small pie pan turned upside down. Put your feeder and waterer on that to keep them above the wood chips.
