Chick making very strange sounds.....

I have chicks ranging from 1-4 weeks, they are currently all living in harmony together. Today I was cleaning the bathroom that they are currently living in, one of my cats came in and perched himself on the sink and was peering into the brooder. Then I started hearing the noise. It sounded like an attempt to crow. Sounded like "Art..Art" Of course I dashed over and looked in attempting to see who was making the noise. No clue. Could it possibly be a Roo in the making?

That is so funny. i have never heard chicks make this noise at that age, but then I dont have a cat! If it is a roo you should keep it, he will be a good alarmer in the future.

All of my chicks will be staying, I live in the country and there are no rooster laws.
