The last one (and another) look a lot like my BJGs as chicks. They have similar white spots, the white underbelly and the faint white lining around the eyes.View attachment 4172487View attachment 4172486View attachment 4172488
I tried my best considering they all run when I get too close! I did try and get close enough to try and get what combs they might have but honestly their faces are so dark I can’t even tell if they have any comb coming in yet haha
I’ve considered Black Jersey Giants (I’ve considered every breed that has a black chick lol) but they aren’t really that big? Most of my other chicks are bigger than them right now so that’s why I kind of brushed that aside. Unless they’re suddenly going to start outgrowing my other chicks? The last one (and another) look a lot like my BJGs as chicks. On a side note, I don't know what type of leg bands they're wearing, but they look pretty snug. You may want to remove them asap to prevent injury as they very quickly grow.
Don't rule out BJG just yet. My littles were comparable in size to their standard counterparts until they were about two weeks old. After that, the difference got more noticeable every week.I’ve considered Black Jersey Giants (I’ve considered every breed that has a black chick lol) but they aren’t really that big? Also thanks for the concern but the leg bands are finethey are stretchy and they are not snug yet even on my larger chicks. I’ll probably be going through the struggle of catching and replacing them all sometime next week.
